By making slight pre-amp adjustments and combining Alnico 5 and Ceramic magnets the perfect tone-beast was created. The Bone Breaker set consist of the BB-B Ceramic bridge and the BB-N Alnico 5 neck pickups. It still maintains the "faded" attack of the offset pole pieces in combination with our lowest noise preamp. The JV should appeal to the "retro" in you, while the coil and electronic design will convince you that this is a pickup to be seriously considered. The X series provide increased headroom giving the voicing an organic and open tone while still maintaining the clarity and response that EMG's are renowned for. X's are best described as bridging the gap between passive and active tone.

Aktivní dvoucívkový keramický snímač pro 5 strunnou baskytaru Music Man, mohutné a plné basy. The MMCS is a direct replacement for the five string Music Man large profile bass pickup. This humbucking pickup has wide bobbins combined with a large coil surface area that gives the MMCS an incredibly rich bass tone. Utilizing EMG’s popular ceramic and steel (CS) design, the MMCS is a great mixture of transparent high end with a powerful and warm low-end. EMG's active preamp makes this pickup rich with harmonics and whisper quiet. This is a great alternative to the stock Music Man pickup and it comes with EMG's solderless wiring and pots.

Based on our triple coil 89 Guitar Pickup the MM5TW is two pickups in one, single-coil and dual-coil, and both are totally noiseless. The MM5TW uses our popular ceramic and steel design for a nice transparent, not abusive high end along with a low-end that is just plain thunderous. Similar to our MM5CS the TW has wide spread bobbins (1 inch) combined with a large coil surface area that gives the MMTW a most amazing bass tone. The single coil pickup is the same as our Jazz Bass (J) Pickup, strong in mid-range. This is the perfect pickup if you're planning on building a bass with only one pickup in the sweet spot. The MM5TW comes with a push-pull pot that can be used as either a volume or tone control, or you can substitute a dpdt switch. When using two of the TW Pickups in the same instrument it is not recommended that BT or BQ Systems be used. Each pickup requires a push/pull pot for switching from single coil to dual coil so the balance control included with the system can't be installed. If you want to use the balance control, consider switching single/dual coil outputs with a DPDT toggle switch(s) instead.
